New Economy Project Receives $2 Million Gift From the Yield Giving Open Call

We’re thrilled to share that New Economy Project was selected to receive a $2 million gift from the Yield Giving Open Call!

The open call, managed by Lever for Change, received more than 6,300 applications and made 361 awards to organizations “working with people and in places experiencing the greatest need in the United States.”

Since 1995, New Economy Project has been at the forefront of fights to eliminate systemic discrimination and build a just economy – through hard-hitting legal and policy advocacy, coalition organizing, community loan funds, and other strategies.

This tremendous gift enables us to deepen our impact and take on ambitious new projects that expand community ownership and democratize our economy. We’re excited to work with grassroots groups and low-income New Yorkers to win bold, transformational change in New York and beyond.
