New Economy Project is not hiring at this time. Please check back for future postings.
New Economy Project offers undergraduate, graduate, and law student internships. Please note that our internship positions for Summer 2018 have been filled.
Interns work with staff and community group partners on timely economic justice campaigns and new economy initiatives, including to advance community land trusts, worker coops and public banking in New York City.
Undergraduate and graduate intern projects may include: contributing to our podcast and video production; preparing GIS maps depicting banking access and lending disparities in NYC neighborhoods; researching and drafting material for our new economy and know-your-rights curricula; participating in community workshops and coalition meetings; and providing research and other support to community groups organizing for cooperative and community-led development.
Law interns additionally may contribute to our financial justice hotline, impact litigation, and legal and policy research.
To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please write “Internship Application” in the subject line, and indicate in your email whether you are applying for a semester-long or summer internship.
