New Economy Project accepts applications year-round for undergraduate, graduate, and law student internships. We are currently accepting applications for Spring 2018 internships.
Interns work with staff and community group partners on timely economic justice campaigns and new economy initiatives, including to advance community land trusts, worker coops and public banking in New York City.
Undergraduate and graduate intern projects may include: contributing to our podcast and video production; preparing GIS maps depicting banking access and lending disparities in NYC neighborhoods; researching and drafting material for our new economy and know-your-rights curricula; participating in community workshops and coalition meetings; and providing research and other support to community groups organizing for cooperative and community-led development.
Law interns additionally may contribute to our financial justice hotline, impact litigation, and legal and policy research.
